A warm welcome to 2011! It’s going to be a BIG year and we’re all geared up to make it even more successful than the last! As our community grows, we select another handful of teachers to join IAA in both Sydney and Melbourne.

We would like to welcome the following teachers to our team:

Reigan Derry joins our singing department. Reigan may be a familiar face to you all as she is the other half of Scarlett Belle (teaming up with Tamara Jaeber). She was also in the Top 12 of Australian Idol 2007.

Cameron Henderson joins our guitar department. Currently in his final year in his Bachelor of Music (Classical Guitar) at the Sydney Conservatorium, Cameron is also a member of indie-roots band Crooked Sunrise which is set to release their album later this year.

Nadia Koudesheva joins our piano department. Completing her Bachelor of Music (Piano) at the Sydney Conservatorium, she has performed across Australia, Russia and has won several prizes in national competitions.

Carlie Mills also joins our singing department in Melbourne. Carlie has a B.Arts/Communications in Theatre & Media (Majoring in Vocal Direction, Performance and Education) – CSU, NSW, an Advanced Diploma in Contemporary Music & Jazz (Voice Major) – NMIT, Greensborough and is currently completing a Bachelor of Australian Popular Music (Voice Major) through NMIT, Fairfield. She is currently in 3 working bands – Honey Chile’ – (events & corporate), Mahogany Soul – (Nu-soul, Pop, Funk & RnB), and Me & Mine – jazz three piece.

With the addition of Reigan, Cameron, Carlie and Nadia, we have a fine team of young individuals who carry our ethos – vibrant ‘in-it-now’ teachers. We look forward to hearing them all at our concert at the end of this term!
